The L‑type single‑girder gantry crane is a very common type of gantry crane. With the advantages of simple structure, light self‑weight, and high cost‑effectiveness, it is widely used in various open‑air stockyards, warehouses, docks, and other places. According to the hoisting mechanism, the L‑type single‑girder gantry crane can be divided into two types: electric hoist and winch. This crane is an effective and flexible lifting device suitable for small to medium‑sized material handling.

The gantry crane has a compact structure and is easy to operate. The main girder adopts an L‑shaped cross section, offering high strength and high rigidity, capable of withstanding large loads. The L‑shaped design reduces the self‑weight of the main girder while ensuring strength, thereby improving overall performance.

The hoisting mechanism usually adopts an electric hoist for lifting and moving goods. In addition to the wire rope hoist, users can also choose an electric trolley as the hoisting mechanism for greater load capacity. The electric hoist can move transversely along the main girder, enabling precise positioning of goods.

One side of the legs is a rigid leg, rigidly connected to the main girder to provide stable support; the other side is a flexible leg, which can be adjusted to accommodate rail deviations and uneven ground. This design can meet lifting requirements of different lifting heights and spans.

1.Open‑air stockyards, storage yards, ports and docks – mainly used for loading, unloading, and handling bulk cargo or general cargo such as steel plates, steel materials, and containers.

2.Factory workshops – used for material handling on production lines, installation and maintenance of heavy equipment, and steel material warehousing management.

3.Railway freight stations and warehouses – used for loading/unloading railway goods, stacking and transferring materials in warehouses.

4.Construction sites – used for lifting building materials, prefabricated components, and small to medium‑sized equipment.

5.Specific manufacturing industries – such as steel markets, steel structure welding sites, pipe manufacturing, etc., especially suitable for lifting long objects that require large‑angle rotation.
