Lifting height: 6 – 12 m

Duty class: A5

The electric hoist gantry crane is a common type of crane. It travels on ground rails via outriggers on both sides, eliminating the need for building support beams. It is particularly suitable for outdoor yards or workshops without overhead crane runways

Electric hoist gantry cranes can be divided into single‑girder and double‑girder types according to their structure. The single‑girder type has a simple structure, is easy to manufacture and install, and has a low dead weight. The double‑girder type offers higher load capacity, larger span, and better overall stability, but its dead weight and manufacturing cost are relatively higher, making it suitable for larger lifting capacities.

The crane is used in combination with European electric wire rope hoists that comply with FEM and German DIN standards. This new‑generation hoist features a two‑speed lifting design: the low‑speed mode is suitable for precise positioning and installation, while the high‑speed mode is used for efficient material handling. It also significantly reduces load swing and repositioning time, thereby improving productivity and workflow efficiency.

Main components

The electric hoist gantry crane mainly consists of four parts: the gantry frame, the electric hoist, the travel mechanism, and the electrical system.

Gantry frame: The main supporting structure, comprising the main girder, legs, and lower cross beam. The main girder and legs are mostly connected by flanges and high‑strength bolts; some designs also use shear‑resistant locating plates to reduce shear stress and ensure safe and reliable connection. The main girder is usually a box girder or a built‑up H‑beam, while the legs are often fabricated from channel steel.

Electric hoist: As the hoisting mechanism, an improved product such as an NR‑type low‑headroom electric hoist can also be selected.

Travel mechanism: Uses a three‑in‑one drive unit (motor + gearbox + brake) to drive each wheel, enabling stepless frequency control and smooth travel.

Electrical system: Provides power supply, all operational controls, and multiple safety protections.

Application scenarios

1.Ports and docks – for bulk cargo handling in open storage yards and material yards.

2.Factory workshops – for material handling, equipment installation and maintenance.

3.Construction sites – for lifting light building materials and small to medium‑sized equipment.

4.Warehousing and logistics – for loading/unloading, stacking and transfer of goods in warehouses.

5.Railway freight yards – for railway cargo handling operations.
